2018 TT awards – “The Fairways” Braidwood

Date:
14/15th July. The awards presentation will be held on the Saturday night. Members are welcome to turn up a few days before and leave a few days after the weekend. Please let Dave Whiting or James Warne know if this is the case.

Venue:
The awards will be held on the Warne Family farm called the ‘fairways’ around 58km south of Braidwood in southern NSW.  Some of our members have been working hard to construct the facilities for the awards. These will include a shed with heating, and shower/flushing toilet at the “TT shed” (see map below). Camping at the shed will be bush camping so bring your swag, tent, or camper trailer.

Directions:
From Braidwood: At Southern end of main street (Wallace St) turn west onto Coghill St. This takes a sharp left and turns into Araluen Rd. After 2km turn right onto Cooma road. Follow this for 53km and turn left onto Stoney ridge Rd. Follow this for 2.6km and the fairways main driveway entrance is on the left. Access to the TT shed is another 1km on from the driveway. It will be signposted.

Access to the TT shed involves a creek crossing and is 4x4 ONLY. Several farm vehicles will be available to transport people to the shed. Please let Dave know if you need a lift.

Alternative accommodation is available at Deua Tin Huts (http://deuatinhuts.com/), which is around 15km back towards Braidwood on the Cooma Road.

Trophy Display:
While the TT awards are well known for the large trophy displays, given the more remote location of these awards, we don’t expect members to bring along as many of their hard earned and precious trophies. There will still be a display, but we encourage members to bring along the more recent trophies they have taken to put in the display.

Activities:
There will be a field course and Target range set up for anyone wishing to shoot their bows. There will be no official shoot per se, but the opportunity for a social shot at a target or two. As always there will be flu flu targets for people wishing to have a go.
There are also a few rabbits and the odd fox getting around which members may have a go at, but please don’t come expecting to hunt from dawn to dusk - This will be more an opportunity to have a camp out, shoot a few arrows and recognise the achievements of our members.

For more information, please call:
