Trophy Takers Awards Information August 16th-18th 2019

The 2019 TT awards will be held at the Bathurst Archery club in association with the Australia Archery Festival on the 16-18th August 2019. We will be setting up the trophy display and holding the TT awards presentation at the Archery club. To fit around other activities scheduled for the weekend, the awards presentation will be held from 12 pm on the Saturday and will be followed by our AGM. We have informally organized accommodation for members at Heritage Park at Bathurst, which offers dorm style accommodation and camping. It is a little way out of town but will allow us to have a campfire and has enough space to allow a more traditional get together. If members wish to book the unit style accommodation (sleep 6-8 people) heritage park have asked us to get members to get the group together and then get one person from each group to ring and make the booking. Feel free to use the TT facebook page to organize your groups.

Accommodation:
Note- If you could please contact ‘Heritage Park’ with your name, group size and pay before you get there- limited rooms are available.

Raffle

As always, members are asked to bring along items to put in the raffle. This is an important fundraiser for TT, especially given we have had some larger expenses this year (carry cases for trophies, trailer canopy and tyres etc). If members can bring items to the Bathurst Archery club on the Friday or Saturday morning, we can get them together there. Tickets for the raffle will be sold at the awards, during the afternoon shoot and during the Archery Museum dinner and awards presentation at the RSL. The raffle will be drawn during the Awards presentation at the RSL on Saturday night. If members have items to donate to the raffle but are not going to attend the awards, please talk to a director to organize pickup.

Bathurst Archery Festival 2019
Program:

Friday 16th August-
Given the awards are going to be held on the lunchtime Saturday and display will be open from 9am Saturday for public viewing, we will need to have the trophy display set up ASAP. To do this there will be TT members at the Bathurst Archery club from 9am on Friday to begin the set-up so please try if possible, to get mounts/trophies/photos/photo albums etc. to the club ASAP so it’s not such rush to get things done on the Saturday morning.
We really want to make this year’s display as big as possible so please try to brings a few things along.

G’day Everyone,

Preparations are progressing for the 2019 Bathurst Awards (in collaboration with the Bathurst Archery Festival), we’ll have updates very shortly about the event schedule (Shoot, TT Awards and AGM, Australian Archery Museum Awards night, camping options, etc), so stay tuned for updates.

We have a request to put out to the TT crew - we’re hoping to recruit about 4 or 5 ushers/henchmen/security guards to give Ian Fenton a hand during the early part of the AAM Awards. Basically just to organise people getting seated etc, and help with coordinating entry. Timing will be from about 5pm to 7pm, with Tom Miranda’s presentation commencing at 7pm to kick things off. Would be perfect for someone who’s not particularly tied up with the TT trophy display / other tasks - and can definitely get to the RSL before 5pm.

Please PM on FaceBook me if you’re keen to lend a hand!

Cheers, Ben Salleras
